Finding the perfect, or almost perfect setting for a family photo shoot.

Every year I scout out new places in my town and and towns surrounding Southbury, Connecticut for the “perfect location” for a fall photo session known as the “mini-session” and each year I come to the same conclusion… The setting is nice, but not as important at the subjects I am photographing.. FAMILY

Ultimately, the colors of the leaves, the red barn or blue sky are just ambience to help compliment the theme at hand. But, catching a family smile, giggle, and maybe even being playful is what matters most.

Don’t get me wrong. I love a pretty stone wall, the golden leaves shining brightly from the late afternoon sun, the ripple of a blue lake or white puffy clouds in a sapphire sky. But, it’s the connections and the moments caught on film, I mean digital media that means to most.
